What To Check Before You Call

 

  • Unit is turned on (this is the problem more often than you might think!)
  • Breakers to unit are not tripped (also a common problem!)

 

 

For ice machines:

 

The most common cause of ice machine failure is not following the recommended preventative maintenance routine. A routine, thorough cleaning of the unit can prevent thousands of dollars of repairs down the road.

 

  • No foreign debris are lodged in unit (plastic bags are a common problem for ice machines!)
  • Machines use water, ensure that the water valve is open, allowing water to unit and filters are not stopped up.

 

 

For beer systems:

 

  • Check for ice in the glycol vat, if present, most likely the problem can be solved by replacing the glycol.
  • Check condenser for dirt or debris.
  • If beer is overly foamy, check pressure and temperature of beer in unit.

 

 

For ovens:

 

  • Follow manufacturer's procedure for checking oven temperature calibration
